Starting December 1, 2026, Victor Kovalev steps down from Agrotrade to focus on his own international projects — Potatoes.News and the International Potato Tour.
Starting December 1, 2026, Victor Kovalev, founder of the international project Potatoes.News och den internationella potatisresan (IPT), lämnar sin position inom Agrotrade-koncernen (riktningen ”Potatsystem”) för att helt fokusera på att utveckla sina egna internationella initiativ inom potatisindustrin.
En ny etapp
Victor Kovalev has worked for several years within the Agrotrade group of companies, where he helped develop the “Potato System” (“Картофельная Система”) direction. Over this time, alongside his work at the company, he launched and grew two independent international projects: the news platform Potatoes.News och International Potato Tour, en serie professionella resor och evenemang för personer som arbetar inom potatisindustrin runt om i världen.
Allt eftersom dessa projekt har vuxit har Kovalev beslutat att ägna sin primära professionella uppmärksamhet åt dem framöver.

"Under de senaste åren, Potatoes.News and the International Potato Tour have grown from side projects into something that genuinely matters to the international potato community. I’ve reached the point where I can no longer give them the attention they deserve while combining this work with my responsibilities at Agrotrade. Starting December 1, I will be focusing fully on these two projects,” said Victor Kovalev.

Potatoes.News är en internationell nyhetsplattform som täcker potatisindustrin: produktion, handel, sorter, bearbetning, agronomi och marknadstrender från hela världen.
Den internationella potatisresan (IPT) är en serie professionella resor och evenemang som sammanför odlare, förädlare, bearbetare, handlare och forskare från den globala potatisindustrin för direkt, personligt utbyte av erfarenheter och kontakter.
"Mitt mål är att Potatoes.News och den internationella potatisresan att bli verkligt användbara verktyg för alla som arbetar inom den här branschen – en plats för pålitlig, aktuell information och verkliga möjligheter att träffas personligen, se produktionsanläggningar med egna ögon och bygga varaktiga professionella relationer”, konstaterade Kovalev.

Victor Kovalev thanked his colleagues at Agrotrade and the “Potato System” team for their shared work, and emphasized that he plans to continue developing relationships across the industry, now with his full attention devoted to Potatoes.News och den internationella potatisturnén.
